We all have energies in and around us. These energies have been proven with many scientific methods. Also, we all have negative emotions in our lives. Most often these negative emotions get stored in our energies. Think on a small child that gets hurt, they don't yet have the cognitive process to decide what to do with the emotions that often they cannot even label, so they get stored in the energy. Then each time a similar emotion is felt it is stored again. Like an onion there are layers on layers. They can show up in many forms in our lives. Illness, chronic pain, rage, depression, the list goes on. Dis-ease in any form is caused by negative emotions stored in our energies. EFT has a high success rate in eliminated these negative emotions from our energies, pulling off layer by layer. It often works when nothing else can.

I have through the influence of other modalities and inspiration adapted EFT. These adaptations seem to get faster results. Towards the end of this page there is a description of how to do EFT where the only changes from original EFT are some changes in what to say in the set up. Following is a faster way to get the same kind of results as EFT.




EFT using the Heart Chakra

Original EFT, by Gary Craig, uses energy meridians to release negative emotions held within the energies. Instead of tapping on the many points used in EFT, all that is needed is tapping on the Heart Chakra. That is located in the center of the chest. You can also tap on the top of the head, the back or wherever inspired. Only one or two places are really needed for results.

If tapping on the Heart Chakra doesn't seem to be getting results you can also try rubbing the "sore spot" before you tap. This is the area just below the collar bones, see the image towards the bottom of this page. This stimulates your energies to flow in the proper direction which allows the work you do to work. It also sometimes takes a while to remove the negative emotions because of the layers. We often take off layers each time until we finally get to the core and eliminate the problem.

The other part of EFT is what we say. In essence we release the negative, then replace with positives. I have a few ways of doing this.


  • Another way is as follows and much shorter.
Even though I am/feel (insert negative feeling), I bring up the deepest core issue, release it to God, never to be seen or felt again, and I am grateful that I am/feel (insert positive word here).

For an even shorter way you can say, "Even though I am/feel (insert negative feeling), I am grateful that I am/feel (insert positive word here)."

An example is "Even though I am unforgiving, I bring up the deepest core issues release them to God, never to be seen or felt again, and I am grateful that I am forgiving."

I say them at least 3 times each time I do it, or until I calm down. You can say or think it, saying has more power but may be inappropriate for your circumstances. Taping on your Heart Chakra when saying any affirmations adds energy to what you are saying.

  • Yet another way is:
Say, "Releasing..(then insert all of the things you are saying. You can even just say "The blah blah blah that causes me to feel this way." Your energies know what to do.)"

Rotate your hand on your heart Chakra whichever direction feels best and say, "I forgive myself, I have done the best I know how. I forgive (insert others that need forgiving) they have done the best they know how."

Say, "Thank you God, I am (then insert positive affirmations, especially those opposite of what you just released.)

Here is an experience we had. My husband is very good at seeing energies, so I had him watch mine while I did the different tappings. With the shorter sentences he could see negative energies release. With the script he said my energy fields turned black while I was starting and when I got to the positives they cleared again and became much brighter. It seems, the script might have more affects, clearing more at once.
Another thing to note. Sometimes we can't pinpoint what we are feeling. When this happens to me I use "feeling these feelings" as my negative and "all is good" or something similar for my positive.

EFT using the meridians like Gary Craig does.
There are four basic steps to EFT:
  1. The setup
  2. Tapping
  3. Gamut procedure
  4. Tapping

The setup:
For the first part you say a statement while rubbing the "tender spot" which may not be sore, or may be quite sore. This is where lymph fluid has been building up, and after tapping for a few days the pain may be totally gone. You can use light pressure, especially if it hurts a lot. If it hurts too much you can tap on the "Karate Chop" point instead. Say the statement 3 times while rubbing or tapping.

The statement: Even though I am  ___(negative words)___, I am grateful that I am  ___(positive words)___.
             or            Even though I am  ___(negative words)___, I bring up the deepest core issues release them to God, never to be seen or felt again, and I am grateful that I am  ___(positive words)___.

For those that are uncomfortable with the use of God you can insert the universe, into space, Allah, or whatever feels best. Always say what feels best for you.

Tapping:
While saying your negative words tap each point about 7 times. The points are the eyebrow, side of eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collar bones, under arm, thumb, index finger, middle finger, baby finger, and karate chop.

Gamut procedure:
This one may feel really weird. It helps set the information into your brain. While tapping the gamut point do the following.
Close eyes then open eyes.

Hold the head still and look down hard right, then down hard left.
Hold the head still, imagine a clock stuck to your nose and starting at 12 look at each number around the clock. When you've got back to 12 go the other way.
Hum 2 seconds of a song (Happy Birthday often works well) count to 5 and then hum 2 seconds of a song again.
Tapping:
This time while tapping each about 7 times say the positive words.

Evaluate how you feel, if you can't feel a difference yet then think of something that would normally bring that feeling up inside of you and see if things are different. Some things have many different types of the same emotions. Rage, anger, frustration can all seem very similar. You will probably find yourself with a need to tap on many different emotions to get the relief you are seeking.
